A Month Old

Today Addison and Xavier turned a month old. Xavier weights 3lbs 3oz and Addison is 2lbs and 11oz. Those ounces make a big difference. Addison had a blood transfusion the other day to help her red blood cell count. She was not replenishing fast enough. She had to have antibiotics again because her band level went up to 14 that is a sign of an infection. So they started an IV just incase. The did a CBC the next day and her band level went to 0. She only had to be on antibiotics for 48 hours. She is still on the CPAP and went up on her flow today due to more episodes. Xavier is still on his cannula at a liter flow of 2. He is having some episodes and his red blood cell level went down but they were able to see that he has some immature red blood cells that will mature. Since he is at 3lbs we will get to give a swaddle bath on Thursday. I will make sure we take pictures!!
